i would get a new main seal...also for the head i think u will be fine with just springs...and where are u from lol? it says maryland but ya i could help with everything but doing the valve springs cause i dont have the right valve spring compressor for it cause our ecotec head is goofy...u can get that done at a machine shop cheap though.

I'm at school in western PA right now. But I might as well do valves and valve springs while its all apart right? And what is the main seal? Is that the one for the valve cover?

Yeah I got the cometic head gasket. But parts like the valve seals, timing cover seal, valve cover gasket? All those parts I should go to gmpartsdirect?

Well I planning on sticking with the stock fuel pump and the 42's I have in now. Do you think I'd need to upgrade any of that?

Well you can check out all the parts from CED and they come with the numbers. I just wanna be sure I have a complete list of what parts to replace while the motor is torn apart. Like what all gaskets and seals. I just don't wanna miss anything.

Jared I started pricing out all the parts to do a motor build.

I am over 2 grand and still adding parts up and that does not include any machine work or shipping costs.

If u are serious about doing this dont have a shop do the work, pay someone local to do the install and just have a machine shop do the work we are not able to.

You are going to need the block honed and crank knife edged. Also the head ported and polished if u want to do head work.

I cannot remember what yr you are but if ur an 05-06 I highly recommend getting sleves and having them pressed in.

If you are an 07+ you wont really need sleves for the power your looking for.

What all parts are you replacing? And a machine shop would be need for the valves and stuff right? And i'm not looking to do the port and polish and all that stuff. Just strengthening the internals. Send me a facebook message with your parts lists.
