Valve Cover gasket

Should I put a new valve cover gasket on when I remove mine for paint? I heard I should and I have heard that I don't have to! by the way my car has 26,000 miles on it if it matters!

Yes, I would. It isn't all that expensive to do so either.

The gasket kit is only like $20. I would do it for the sake of saving yourself the worries.

I had my O-Rings go bad after I had mine powder coated. Suprising that a rubber gasket would give way, but mine did.

To this day car rides funny.
