yeah idk but i ended up getting a call from them at 7pm the other night asking me if i still wanted to order a header and dp but i had already ordered the vibrant setup and btw i would much rather have to big than to small.

 

I ordered a new one from the dealer. Did not want to reuse the old one even though it look fine.

 

i know i would have done that same thing but i am leaving for england next satuday so i have to get this done as soon as possible.

 

Nothing against you, I found this on the MangaFlow website..

"To reduce additional backpressure, the OEM exhaust tubing can be replaced with madrel-bent tubing of the same size or one size up from the OEM. As a general rule, you can enlarge the pipe diameter of your OEM exhaust system by 1/4- to 1/2-inch to increase your horsepower. However, any additional increase in pipe diameter is likely to decrease your performance; specifically, low end torque.

Bigger is not always better."

On a cat-back, a bit bigger won't hurt AS bad.. But the primaries on an exhaust manifold are just a little more important.

OEM, hopefully a more useful member can chime in on that, but, your Vibrant is 1 3/4" (1.75").. I would say go with 1 5/8" (1.625")

Low end, and some mid range. Just don't race from a dig!

To be specific, you will have a loss in exhaust velocity and you will not get the scavenging benefit that your motor wants.

 

Then why does vibrant even make this header... stupid

I'm with Flyy on this one. My order is stopable. What brand should I order for my 07 ss/sc? Ditto on the why offer it if it slows the car down?

 

keep it it a nice piece. if i had money at that moment, it sure this will be under my car.

 

For a SS/SC, YES, it is a nice piece, you're F/I, so you can use the bigger primaries.

A bolted 2.2L does not need primaries that big.

Clear Image > Vibrant. That's just my opinion.

 

Thanx for the reply. My bad on the question. I read all 3 pages and still missed the type of car that was being discussed.

 

go to the dealer and get the gasket its about 26 bucks but you can get it installed quicker.

 

I am reusing my stock gasket and have no leaks with it so I'll just stick with this until it starts leaking. I'll probably end up rebuilding my engine or just sending it into jbody so the vibrant will eventually be fine for my engine.
