Is this picture(drivers side head) the ones that the line go through are oil, so I THINK that the bottom right plug is for coolant and you can put your sender there..

so for an oil pressure gauge you would remove one of the other plugs?

i would say the best place for oil pressure would be in the oil pan.. maybe im wrong though

well now that i think about it i would be wrong cuz there shouldnt be hardly any pressure in the pan.. you would have to go above the oil pump somewhere..

you could use one of the other plugs in the head for oil pressure, however there is a restrictor going into the head so the pressure there will actually be lower than in the block. it still works for monitering purposes (ie too low, sudden loss of pressure) it just wont be the persay Right pressure.

I have the water temp gauge too waiting install and I am thinking of getting the hose adaptor and going with the top rad hose. Nowhere else it can go. The temp sensor just fucked with my fan and I got pissed off.

couldnt you just get a "Tee" fitting and then thread in the factory sensor and the aftermarket sensor? i imagine that it would work.

the tee fittin might work.. i may try that.. if you put it in the upper radiator then your gonna get lower temps than what its suppose to be cuz the water stops flowin in the upper from time to time cuz of the thermostat..

as far as the "tee" goes, i would leave the stock sender in the same position as it would normally be, and then the gauge sender off of the other part, that way it dosent give the ecu any false readings.

yeah thats what i was thinkin too.. if it makes the ecu think its to hot the fan will stay on alot if not all the time and i dont want that to happen and if it makes it think its cooler than it is then the fan wont even come on like its suppose to and that would let the car run hot.. maybe its not such a good idea to mess with the stock sensor after all... i think imma just try to put the sending unit in the head..

well it can hurt to try both ways and then let us know and do a how to so we all know what works and what dosent. A tee wont be more that a few bucks, if it dont work its not a huge loss.

I hooked up my water temp guage today using the bottom right plug in the picture i showed earlier. Works perfect. It shows the same temp as the DIC!
