I'm getting a bunch of pms so I will just put down what all I used here so everyone can see!
-Autometer #2278 (this is the adapter that fits into the cyl head)
-Autometer #2259 (the sending unit that comes with the guage is too long to fit into the 2278 adapter so I replaced it with this unit wich is shorter)
NOTE that 2259 is for an ELECTRIC autometer guage only.

going by what the autometer site says you only need the shorter sending unit if you have a short sweep gauge.. im hoping thats right to cuz i have a full sweep gauge and didnt order the shorter sending unit. i guess i'll find out when i get my adapter in.

look at the sender for your water temp guage if its longer than the threads it wont fit the adapter, its kinda hard to explain but there are threads on it where it goes into the metric adapter. if your sender extends past those threads it wont fit.. i think you can also get an extension adapter too if thats the case

yeah i seen the exstention they have. i just read the note they have by the water temp gauge and it says the the shorter sending unit is only needed if you have a short sweep gauge and have to use the adapter we have to get.. not sure why the sending unit would be any longer on the short sweep gauge though..

I'd like to have Water Temp, Oil Pressuse and Oil Temp in full sweep gauges. A vacuum , cylinder head temp and exhuast temp gauge too. Maybe I'd get like 250 more HP from all of these gauges.
