weird sound coming from intake and sputtering

Not really sure what to call the sound but it sounds like a slurping sound ..almost like the throttle body is sticking open and letting too much air through? I notice this soudn and sputtering after doing a long drive say from work to home
Ive uploaded a video of it, nothing to see. just listen to it. You may have to turn up the volume to hear it but be warned it kinda scares u when it happens lol.
This sound happens when i push the gas pedal..also the engine has a ticking sound so much now, not sure why. Oil level is good. Ever since i got the intake mani replaced at the dealer Ive always heard this sort of air leak sound from it while driving, even while idling it just sounds off. like a fluttering sound. But yet the dealer has no idea what im talking about of course. Again it almost sounds like air filter or throttle body or even cat or exhaust leak. Ill have to recheck the downpipe and cat to make sure of that, but the weird slurping sound is coming from the engine bay at the airfilter/TB area. I checked the filter and air tube, nothing in there clogging it.
When i first got tuned (HPT) the tuner set it to read off the maf (not sure the lingo used) and it sputtered like this at first and stalled before he dialed it in i guess and it finally accpeted the reading from maf to stay on. Its like the car is starting to go against the tune lol. I duno, maybe just me..
Also the end of the audio clip, just listen how odd the car sounds when i turn it off. WTF is going on? 2008 2.2 ~ approx 107,000kms / 66,000miles, no codes
Heres the sound clip:

I have a sputter in second and only second, But it is after the car has been sitting for a couple hours

I do have an lsj, But I have concluded to the TB

But these cars are horrible for carbon build up. Maybe start by looking there..

^^This is why I like the ontario site you would actually get replies ^^^

Check for vacuum leaks ,Fuel reg and things along those lines.

But if it doesn't happen all the time something is changing or your doing to cause this, Have you try and see if there are any hidden codes or anything ?

ya not too sure what happend to OCC..
no codes coming up. It does sound like a vacuum leak. It doesnt happen when i start it up, it has to be running for awhile to get up to operating temps.
Its been fine since ive done my engine/exhaust work and tune. Nothign has been done to it since, except for the ignition recall. I noticed the sputtering after it got done..but I cant say for sure

Can you get someone to turn the car off while you listen under the hood?

Very strange sound at the end.

Are you sure you don't have an exhaust leak. Also, listen for timing chain rattle.

had it looked at by a friend and didnt notice any sounds in person, but was shocked to hear the sound that i recorded earlier. That whoosh sound is new and he says it sounds normal since the aftermarket CAI will be louder and allow more air through obviously but this is not a normal sound. Maybe TB needs a cleaning, ill try the propane/carb cleaner trick around the intake also for leaks when i get a chance

Hey guys, the tune that's on this car is really odd and doesn't seem right to me. Timing on the low octane tables are abnormally high in some spots and the VE values, once converted using bluecat software are considerably higher than stock in places. Even 200% in places. Also the MAF values are lower than stock at all points.

I uploaded the tune to my car and the car barely ran at all, and died when put into gear. I was showing 0-40* of timing at idle while the car surged! The car had a bad delay and wouldn't go worth a damn. Put back my own tune and the car ran just fine.

I am not sure, are you running 87 octane? I noticed that when I degraded from 94 to 91 I had that sound while accelerating but went away after I filled up to 94..
