I have a friend who fried his OEM clutch. I have a exedy clutch/flywheel in my SS/SC but as far as I know he is stock. What would be a good replacement. GM wants over 400 bucks for the OEM GM parts. I know TTR has some good prices on after market clutches for 2.2s. I seen a centerline for like under 300 and a Exedy OEM replacement which looks like a good one. Thanks guys.

What is a good clutch/flywheel for a stock 2.2 cobalt. What clutch/flywheel combo should I stay away from? Thanks.

 

Well, I have a Fidanza flywheel in right now, and I can definately feel its effect on acceleration. Unless you can find a cheaper one that is as light as the Fidanza, I would recommend the Fidanza. Unfortunately for me, CM sent me a defective clutch which I am getting replaced soon, so I can't really give advise with regards to the clutch. If he is looking for an OEMish replacement, don't look at CM they are pretty pricey.
