what do you think?

k, i have a stock 2.2L, im thinking about an injen CAI and a Corsa Touring Catback. how much added hp do you think i'll get? and what other small mods can i make? i dont think i want to get into new headers or anything, just small stuff i can supe up my car with. not much though.

you should get at least 140whp all together if not more since ive seen 2.2's dyno at 140whp with injen intake and borla exhaust but corsa is a better exhaust so maybe more power there, other small mods would have to be suspension mods for now

well, im talking about the engine, i also plan on an rk sport body kit, ram air hood, eibach sportlines, 18" wheels, and perelli 215/40 p-zero tires.

Wait till someone comes out with a chip for our car. Then do all those mods plus computer. Easy 150whp.

18 inch wheels will not help your horsepower goal, 17's at best

tires dont increase hp out, i got a big lesson in my one friend who engineers drive systems about this.
the larger the tire, the worse your acceleration, the better your top speed

well, i dont race my car or anything, im really doing all this for me. i like it. so the 18's wont hurt my feelings, i like the look. the link's working fine for me, and im kind of skeptical about a chip. just dont know if i really want it or not.

its something that you use to tune your car and adjust the a/f ratio to get the most power you can out of the car.

don't worry about it, you wont need it for the couple bolt ons you have...

agreed, but doing so might help a bit. if you really wanted to, you could wait until someone comes out with one and either buy a PCM off someone that has been tuned, or buy a scrap one and send it to someone to tune. i would be happy to do it and hptuners is starting beta testing as we speak.

you have power losses through the drive train
at the crank when in neutral, you will have 145hp stock.
at the wheels it will be lower. 20% for autos 13% for manuals
