Who is against 2.5' piping, help me oot

Alright, my plans are as follows.....
magnaflow cat,
obx muffler
2.5' or 2.25' piping
new header & dp

NOW...heres where you come in,
has anyone with custom 2.5 in piping experienced any losses of torque?
and also, which header and dp combo would give me the MOST & BEST performance,
remember, i have a cat already. i am in the 400 ballpark, really want the best from my car.

Bigger injectors, bigger exhaust means you need to do a couple things - get the 2.4L intake swap to complete your free-er flowing exhaust with a free-er flowing intake. If you have these three mods (or just the exhaust and injectors), you'll see a gain in horsepower but a kind of small gain in tq.

To take advantage of your new exhaust and bigger injectors and the 2.4L intake (if you get it) you need to get tuned to take advantage of the more air you can take in and put out. Then you'll see a good increase in both horsepower and torque. To maximize your bigger exhaust and intake, you should get cams AND get tuned...that'll give you the max increase in both hp and tq for the mods

*****NOTE: If you get bigger injectors, you HAVE to get tuned, there is no way around that fact.

This is true but there is NO NEED for bigger injectors UNLESS you go higher compression pistons or F/I.

With just bolt ons to a stock motor you'll NEVER need bigger injectors.

Save your money

Yeah fully bolted and tune won't put you too far past the 2.4L engine.

As for piping at most 2.5 for a N/A car and our HP range.

Well, since the tick mark that you used is the one that denotes feet, not inches, I'm completely against it. There will be way too much airflow. Your car will essentially be a giant hair dryer.

I have a 2.2L auto... I have a zzp midlength header with a 2.5 downpipe, and megan racing drift spec exhaust (2.5") I dynod 132 whp 128 tq... remember im an auto so thats one problem... two i had a bad cat.. so thats gunna hurt alittle too... but a 2.5" exhaust is just fine for the 2.2L

Oh and I think EVERYONE would be against 2.5 feet (') piping instead of 2.5 inches (")
