it wont' make a half second difference, but that dp with 2 cats is heavy as hell. more than twice the weight of an aftermarket it felt like. add to that heavier rims, more electronics, and less mods than other people running at the track and there's your slower times.

anyways, my statement stands.

Temperature and Humidity plays a big part in your times regardless of where you live.

i had an intake and a preformance exhaust over her LS and that still makes her a half second faster due to my extra weight?

i thought u said ut wasnt a cat-back, anyway, i drive a ls w/a 5spd standard and i run 16.5174 at best, and i have no laggit mods, what i mean by laggit mods i mean my itake is a DIY and the exhaust is just a free flowing magnaflow one...she was probably standard, and w/a untuned transmission she'll have the advantage

I had a cavy 2.2 ecotec with an auto and to be honest it sucked with all my mods I could only run a 17.1 and that was with the shift plus header back, CAI and all that crap. I got tired of it and put a 50 shot on it, the problem with the auto is that it wont' allow you to launch worth ****....your 60' is killing you 2.5 sucks. but anyways I put the 50 wet shot on it and it took it from a 17.1 to a 15.1, reason why it wasn't all about the hp it was actually being able to get out of the hole better with the extra grunt. My 60' went from a 2.5 down to a 2.2 with the nitrous.....figure out a way to get that 60' down with a higher stall convertor or something of the sort or nitrous and you will get way better times...

its about rotational mass, it take more torque to turn a bigger rim, for instance, my ram, pictured below, runs two tens of a second faster with the 17s i got on it now, then when i had the 20s on it.

i didnt think a bigger rim would make a difference since i had 16's stock and went to 17's

actually it will...are the rims heavier than your stockers? If so then yes it WILL make a difference..your problem is the auto tranny....you can't get 60's worth **** with an auto tranny...read my post I just posted a page back...

the auto sky redlines and solstice redlines are .1 faster than the sticks because the sticks either bog or burn em when you launch. my C4 mercury is faster and much more consistent than a t5 would be. + no burnt clutches.

how and the hell do you figure a auto 2.2 stock should run a 16 flat???? look at the 2.2 times there all listed in a post most manual guys with simple boltons run about a 16 flat maybe a little better i have seen stock 2.2 autos run high 17's before.

well.. bone stock last summer i ran a 15.558 with a .364 reaction time... this summer the best i could do was 16.358... now that i have an intake/ exaust.. i expect to be better.. and with the nitrous... im looking at 13.999-14.300.. i should be dynoing in at 215-235 hp.. with cia-header back exaust, and 75 wet shot..

so modded 2.2 can be fast..,

but i think its because u have an auto tranny because i beat a guy in are club with a modded 2.2l intake exaust by about a half car when i was stock

lets also talk about how a auto with a 75-50 shot will be faster then an manual because they can spray off the line vrs the 2.2l manual cant because of traction issues... and the gearing

"fact"

cali emissions are more than just SAI. different ecu parameters and 2 converters from what i have seen.

what would the different ecu parameters between regualr and cali do to make it slower?

the different parameters in the ECU are only the ones controlling the SAI pump. You ask how I know? Because I reflashed my ECU this weekend to eliminate it. it will have ZERO effect on performance because SAI is only on during a cold start up... THATS IT. BTW... my downpipe does not have two cats. I know some did, mine doesn't

The only way SAI affects performance is the lack of options. no exhaust manifolds are compatible with SAI. so there you go. thats the limit SAI puts on your performance

Well your 60' isn't all that great. Might want try a Cat-Back. Also if you have true Cali. Emissions you should have 2 Cat's. The 17's shouldnt make a diff. Friday was hot and humid so those will screw your times too. Bring it down to Baltimore, I'll help you make it faster.
