XTC Downpipe

Alright guys/ gals. I did a search, and it didnt answer my question. I have a 06 Cobalt LS with the Secondary Air Injection. Well since I cant get a header, im looking at a downpipe, specificely the XTC one on CA.com. Well it says it fits the 2.0 and 2.4 but doesnt say anything about the 2.2. I assume from what I read that it is universal, but I dont wanna assume wrong, buy it and not have it fit. Also should i go with the 2.5" w/o cat, or the 2.5" w/ cat, or the 3" w/o cat, or the 3" w/cat? Currently have a Magnaflow catback exhaust...

thanks guys,

and girls

well for one, 2.5 - 3" is too big

stick with 2 1/4 with either the GMPP or the stock SS S/C exhaust

as for DP im making my own

2.5 should be fine for ya... unfortunatly the stock 2.2 exhaust manifold sucks and is restrictive as ****... you sure you have the SAI? if not I got a ss/sc stock header sitting in my drawer

2.5 is you have a 2.5 exhaust (magnaflow) w/cat would be quieter than without obvisouly so thats a personal choice on what you want ur exhaust to sound like

i was looking this up as well, im just going to get my pacesetter header that needs to be welded so i dont have to worry about all of the others hitting the firewall. and a high flow cat converter. i think they arent listed for our 2.2Ls cause (CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG)they are too big and because of that it takes to much back preasure off of the engine. engines need a certain ammount of back presure to maintain the suction used in drawing the air out of the exhaust sys.
