2.2 turbo'd and trifecta tuned
looking to get some feed back from the turbo'd 2.2s with trifecta tunes. I am going turbo and was looking into the tune. Any feed back would be great.

Vince from trifeca knows his stuff. My tune was awesome right out of the box. I have had some issues at idle but i believe he has that figured out, and that wasn't even his fault, just the way my car is setup. I say go for it!!!
i'm not a 2.2 but i do have a trifecta tune for the first procharged maf setup ecotec and he's been great about tuning it
b what did your problem wind up being ?
and let me know when you do it .. depending on how far away wer are we canwork something out

oh cool. i work with a girl from newburg ny...only about an hour from me...i plan on purchasing the zzp turbo kit for the 2.4 and than getting trifecta tuned. Once i go turbo is there anything else that needs to b upgraded? how is everyones clutches holding up? How does the trifecta tune work? What kind of gains will i see from being turbo"d?
You my friend need to do a lot more research. Go on google and search your little heart out. Or even hit that little search button we have at the top of this page! Look at the dyno thread and see what us turbo'ed guys made. It even shows what mods we had to make those numbers. That will then give you a rough idea how much power you can make. If you plan on buying a kit, they usually come with a wastegate set at ~8psi for a standard entry kit. I wouldnt go much higher on a stock bottom end 2.2. Although I havent taken the time to see how beafy the LAP is.

i also dunno on how much the LAP engine can handle so i dunno about upgrading internals but thats usually a good idea for the 2.2 l61 motors
Well i spoke to soon, i'm pulling my hair out over this thing, he tried to use speed density at idle and regular maf off idle, but i am still pegging the lean trims, but only at idle, driving us both crazy. Vince is awesome, anyone else would have gave up and said i can't help you, but he keeps trying. I'm the one that's losing it, i just don't know what to do, fuggin pissin me off, lol....
yeah, im doing research on turbo'ing my 2.2L, but was wondering before i went into it if any1 knew how good the stock internals of the L61 are? im think of running around 8-10 psi and also, what kinda maintenance does a turbo require? im looking at the Hahn racecraft turbo kit, but i dont know....theres alot of research left to do lol any help would be great

and to upper post, the SS/TC still is better. internals and tranny built stronger. and also comes with performance suspension. with a ls or g5 w/e, u can only go 250 hp max either turbo or supercharger. SS/TC can be pushed to much higher limit just buying bigger turbo and injectors.
working on my beafy tune for my car after putting better internals. even the mild tune was great for running. once my car is done and i get everything logged, will be back for more updated insaneness
