brags i only have a 2.5 dc sports muffler and a cai my stock pipe size is 1.75 what king of headers are they and what pipe size cause if i buy headers i need to get new pipes
Its a racing solutions shorty header, same as others out there. But bang for the buck I would do the 2.4 intake mani, proven results, much better power up top.
To my knowledge the lap's come from the factory with a manifold similar to a 2.4s.
Header. Not headers.
Agreed
if you have a 2.5" muffler already then just find a stock ss/sc ss/na or ss/tc stock catback piping and it with a new over the axle 2.5" bend and your good.
Header is a pretty cheap gain if you do a downpipe at the same time its a noticeable gain.
Beyond intake and exhaust thought all there is left for the most part is a tune or forced induction...

Way I see it is you can nickel and dime it with no plan, take the cheap route and find out it cost you twice as much in the long run, OR you can save your money, make a plan, and get it right the first time.
And we know the best plans are those made over a bottle of Jack, right?

These guys are right.
Honestly to do it right buy a decent header a decent downpipe a good catback and a good intake. After that get a tune. That will be the most you can do pretty much for bolt on hp.
you can do a supercharger or turbo kit if you want more than 180whp. (not sure exactly what a full bolt on tuned LAP can do but figure a bit less than an LE5)
you do need to decide your goals for the car before you start modifying it though.

ialot of people have been telling me downpipes are for turbos and some say they arent just for turbos... wats the correct answer because i dont have a turbo
I hope you understand how much work that will be. You will have to do alot of modifications to convert your auto to manual. Not too mention its alot easier to bolt on a supercharger or turbo charger. Listen to what Cordia and others are telling you. Do your car up right and you'll get the results you want. Do it half ass and you'll end up wasting major time and money with no results.
I could be wrong but pretty sure you need the F23 trans not the F35 trans for the swap. Also you will need a ton of parts. Its honestly best to just get a donor car.
and a new ecm cause the auto ecm is not gonna work right without the tcm to interact with. a trans swap is nowhere near as simple as you think, op.
I will bet you a $1000 you will not put that SS manual transmission into your car that currently has an automatic tranmission. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
Swap in LE5 cams. Honestly, these motors aren't cheap to build, na or boosted. Iv'e tried, and failed miserably. Best na build I've seen was a 2.4 bottom end with a heavily ported head with a big ass set of cams, and every bolt on known to man. Still only 220 hp.
