2.9" Pulley

I have a 2.9" pulley and i am debating putting it on without another heat exchanger besides the stock one. How dangerous would this be.

I've had a 2.9 on my car (stage 2, gmpp exhaust and manifold and intake) since pretty much day 1, 2 years ago. no problems.

Cobra HE is so cheap, why worry about a potential problem when 60$ can avoid one.

Im running a 3.06 but still have every possible cooling mod but meth. dual pass, opt.b 2nd HE. look at it as insurance.

i fully agree with you, frankly without cooling mods i believe your probably not gaining any form of hp from going down to a 2.9

but that wasnt the question!

I didn't realize you were in NY. I'm going to supercharge my 2.2 this summer, we should race

I would definitely look into another / replacement HE. I plan on running the ZZP S/3 solo (H/E-wise).

if your doing it for tuning, the tuner is just going to not give as much in the timing thus having your tune kind of not to its full potential

P.s. I'll be ordering my zzp heat exchanger soon and if anyone wants to do the install and make a couple bucks that would be cool.

From: New Jersey then. Now Orlando Florida
I was on a 2.8 for almost 3 months without a single cooling mod and it ran amazing. Now all I have for cooling is a dual pass

I don't really see why y'all would need same cooling mods as the Lsj for. They say a lot of heat but there's not as much as we make. I mean on a 2.7 we where seeing around 17-18psi by Redline and almost 20 on our 2.5. I mean a dual pass and extra heat exchanger would help for long pulls down the road for sure.
