how about i just add another lb of boost and completely ignore that extra bend in the exhaust

i think sti's, supra's, Rx-7's, Evo's and 240sx's can only pull this off

because at some point when you turn up the boost you are only going to be blowing hot air and making no more real power.

you are acting like the exhaust is going to be making a 180* turn. it's one slight 45* bend

on a subie its 2 turns one of them being almost 90 degrees. On the cobalt you have to go over that rear axel thing. I haven been under a cobalt since I did viks exhaust which about 8 months ago but if I remember right it wasn't exactly the best for flow

i have a 90* coming off of the turbo, a 90* before the rear axle, the bend over the rear axle and then the angle for the muffler

alright then one more bend wont make that much of a difference. Im used to my car where there is a 45 off the compressor then a 30ish if even that then no rel bends till the muffler

Looks awesome man! And sounds good too. I can't wait to get mine done now, hopefully within the next week or so... I still can't decide on the angled look or not.... Humf.

Alright guys, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my exhaust here... Let's say I bought the piping listed below and then used the muffler I already bought, how well do you think that would work together? will the new piping bolt up to my factory header? or would i need adapters and all that junk...

05-09 CHEVY COBALT EXHAUST TUBING KIT - eBay (item 330314190359 end time Apr-02-11 07:34:18 PDT)

Or should I just buy a full cat back exhaust and then use my own muffler? Like this:

i personal haven't used the mandrel exhaust systems kit, but i hear it fits like ****. i know that doesnt help. i would be tempted to buy that SPS kit and cut the muffler off.

and install the one that I bought separate. It should sound pretty good!.... hopefully.
