catless 2.2

alright so my i have a cobalt 2.2 07 wit a catless header back exhaust. it sounds like **** i kinda got to thinkin wouldnt it be better performance wise if i got a high flow cat because i'd have a lil back pressure and since i dont have f/i itll'd give me some more bottom end torque ?

In my opinion anything bigger than a 2.25" (GMPP) exhaust you will lose alot of low end torque on a 2.2. And there is absolutely no need for you to be going catless.

The 2.2's and LSJ motors dont need that much breathing room. The LNF would benefit the most from a more free flowing exhaust system.

yea catless was because i was broke at the time but im plannin on throwing on a high flow cat.. but i plan on running a 75/100 shot would i benefit from something bigger than a 2.25 inch

I have an lsj dp on my 2.2 with a custom exhaust. Sounds nice.

cut out is only good for turbo on cycle lol imo.. yeah mine sounded great until i went catless

yet i know people with a 2.5'' and its plenty breathing room and gives you a hp increase of 10-15hp. On the torque im not sure, but a 2.5'' is good, i just wouldnt go any further or else you will definalty lose back pressure and hp if you're N/A

Yup 2.5" is the best size to run. Not too big and not too small.

Not a whole lot if any. Maybe 2-3 hp. It will just sound nicer I guess.
