I'm thinking of making my own Short Ram Intake, instead of spending $200-$300 on a full CAI.
Has anyone done this or have any ideas or pictures etc.? Anything would be helpful.

Something along the lines of buying piping like this:
Magnaflow Exhaust Stainless 3" Mandrel Bend 45 Degree: eBay Motors (item 330481449765 end time Nov-05-10 04:13:35 PDT)

And then a filter like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

and some couplers and I'd probably be in the $100ish range. Any input? I'm just trying to think outside the box, I've always been one to be different and not do what the "norm" does which is why I'm thinking of just making my own.

hmm depends on the car but i wouldn't suggest trying to fabricate something.. your car may never run right with it. especially when ya have to try and mount sensors on it.
