That engine whistle

My engine's been whistling for the past few months and 2 dealerships haven't a clue what's the cause. It does it when you rev or accelerate. I only hear it in the inside but not outside. I've checked various hoses but don't know which is vacuum related. And the intake is tight.

Probably just from the air sucking past the throttle plate. Many if not all cars do it at the right conditions.

Should be able to hear that from the outside though. Maybe somebody put one of the turbo noise makers in your exhaust without you knowing lol

My radio does the same thing.

Did anyone ever find a fix for it?

it's a common problem with most makes and models, it has to do with the alternator power being unstable.

I have the same thing, not sure what it is. Def not the radio, my radio makes a different noise. This is definately coming from the engine bay. Let me know if you figure it out, tho I kinda like the sound haha

My LT did have a whistling noise from the intake when I had the 2.4 TB/IM and Injen intake on. When I returned it to stock before it sold the whistle was gone. So I'm assuming it was air moving different in the intake setup, which made that noise.. It doesnt cause any problems, it just may be a resonant frequency in the intake setup or something is my guess

either way I wouldnt worry about it. If it was a leak you would definately know about it. I had a VAC gauge on my LT and there was no movement in the gauge when the whistling started or stopped (hence no leaks).. so yea, I really wouldnt be worried at all

Throttle bodies whistle at part throttle, you usually cannot hear it with the stock intake. On my 2.2 I had an AEM cold air so it whistled pretty good.
