Finally ordered a dp

I finally broke down and ordered a downpipe to get rid of the restriction, the bulk of it. It's a 2.5" TruBenz/MBE catted aluminized dp. Besides a "chunky difference" in accleration, does it provide better throttle response?

My setup:
2.4 Throttle body
SS/TC catback

Aluminum is ok to have as i'm in FL

It's plentiful loud with the SS/TC muffler as it is straight flow. It's growing on me though.

Hey with having the 2.4 Mani do you also have the 2.4 throttle body and the 2.4 MAF? What results you notice?

It's not made out of aluminum.

It is called aluminized steel. It's a coating which helps to prevent corrosion.

The airbox/maf assembly in the 2.2 and 2.4 engines are the same. I only upgraded to the 2.4 throttle body. It's the 2008 6-pin.

So I just had the dp installed. No CEL as of now but the guy said give it a day or a week if that happens. Due to the SSTC muffler it's a tad louder and raspy at high rpms. I can tell it performs a tad better.

Couple of notes:
Auto tranny now shifts a little harder
Stock dp has 2 cats......yes 2 cats but what reason?

You could just leave the CEL on. It doesnt affect anything.

Otherwise get a tune

Ok so I'm impressed of how the Dynomax Super Turbo sounds. Would this muffler quiet the system some alone Or should I get an 18" resonator with it?

Ok guys i'm gonna have an 18" magnaflow resonator with 2.5 2-bolt flange welded in there. Guy said he'll have the part in today but by then he'll be too busy (full appts) to have it done today. :/ I did talk about the Turbo muffler but it was a problem to him when it comes to fitment and that it will hurt performance hahaha. I'm aware of a slight performance sacrifice then again I didn't wanna argue with the guy. So resonator it is, and muffler at another shop down the road. By then I'll have my taxes

That aside will the resonator take some of the rasp (not all of course) and tone her down some? Hopefully be mellow enough not to **** off the cops.
