HP vs Trifecta?

Just looking for peoples opinions between the two, and if anyone on here is great with either. It would be for a SC swapped LAP. Also looking to get a general price range so I know what kind of cash I need to get up before looking.

Thoughts or opinions would be awesome!

I'd go hp. I just can't recommend trifecta's tune. It gets the car driveable but that's about all. I'm definitely gonna be finding a good hp tuner in the next month or so once I get my internals swapped

my car was well more then drivable on trifecta I data logged thoroughly and was very patient to make sure we got things correct too many people do one or 2 logs and call it a day.. not to mention him saying it's good doesn't mean it's aggressive it means there are no issues.. .. there are alot of factors though.. if you dont have a good reliable hptuner in the area that KNOWS deltas then hp shouldnt really be an option

I've done numerous data logs and gotten several updates that don't seem to make a difference. I get random KR, misfires at idle, and sometimes the car just decides to die at idle because it will go fully rich and peg out my wideband at 10.0 for several seconds then lean itself to the point it stalls. Every time I data log Vince says everything looks good and that nothing needs changed.

how much KR? what fuel are you running, what brand are you cruising/ part throttle or wot ... misfires full rich / lean is all because of the 60's which can be tweaked have you told him about that? there are work arounds for it, and if he's been made aware of the issue he can alleviate some of it .. ( he did it on my car)

Running 93 usually sunoco. Usually don't have KR at WOT but just at part throttle when accelerating up a hill (3* sometimes but not always). Worst is on the highway after the shift to 5th gear, as soon as I touch the gas it just goes nuts (sometimes up to 8* KR). I've told him all about the misfires and idling and he has pretty much told me I have to live with it because of the 60s

Well it makes sense. How much boost are you currently running

What part of that makes sense? I think it could all be fixed with a good tune which I won't get with trifecta. Vince is way too busy to keep tweaking it til it's perfect. Boost I see depends on the outside temp. Usually it's around 13 psi

If you are running 60's with a medium amount of boost your air/fuel is gunna be off

Most people blame the tune, maybe what vince is trying to say is that the tune is solid and there something wrong with a part on your car. This is also the reason why most tuners wont remotely tune anymore unless they can see the car in person.

My afr is fine under boost, it's idle I've got issues with where no boost is involved.

That's another major factor in me wanting to find a good hp tuner close by. Just seems like if I had someone in the car with me experiencing all these same things that they would be much easier to correct than just having datalogs to look at and trying to explain things through email

Then it's gunna be the injectors. In your case you'll need someone (hp) will have to be there to do it. Less modded engines can be okay with trifecta. It doesn't make them shitty
