mistimed motor?
if my LAP motor wasnt timed correctly like a tooth off? Would i be able to tell? i dont know much about dohc timing but i do know that in inblock cam engines it makes a big difference if its like a tooth off. these engines the same way?

You would possibly have valve issues and it would run very rough. You wouldn't be able to drive on it for a long time with the timing off like that though before something really bad happened.
