no more sc/ goin turbo instead/ need help

Hey guys, i was at work today and had a client talking about getting rid of his turbo setup for his cavi. t's a mitsubishi teo4h turbo from like a 89 to 91 talon or something. also comes with all the gauges, turbo xs bov, and a fm intercooler from apparently an srt4. I'm gtting it all for 300-350 bucks,

I want to do a low boost, easy build, is this gonna be a decent buy for me?

while it does sound like a pretty ebay rigged setup, if it includes piping and all and it fits could do it and swap parts out for better along the road.

Hmmm 89/91 Talons used the Mitsu 14B, and although its small has made decent numbers and has pushed DSMs into the low 12s.

The cavi layout is a little different than the CPbalt so the pipes would need to be modified for sure.

Well it doesn't come with piping so that's no big issue. So do you guys think its ok for a simple setup without redoing internals? I won't. Bhuy it if the turbo ain't worth it. I know nothing about turbo's so I count on you guys.

If you know nothing about turbos then don't even think about buying it.
Read ask and learn first, THEN decide.

For that price I'd pick it up. However the turbo is a tad too small. I'd say sell the turbo and try to find a Mitsubishi TD05. My buddy at school has a 1st gen talon (2.0L tsi awd) with a TD05 with a larger hot side housing, and his spools up pretty quick and provides a decent kick. If I'm not mistaken, the TD series all have the triangular mounting flange.

You have 2.2L of displacement. You can run a decent turbo on there. I'd like to see a GT28RS Garrett if you had the coin to do so. If not, a simple T3/T4 would do. I can get you genuine Garrett turbos for $625.00 brand new with a warranty.
