went to my audio place yesterday and tried to get my headunit and deck installed but i need a part that doesnt make me lose my door chimes and safety crap. anyone that can help? and will it work w/o that part?

 

You just need the normal harness but you will lose your door chimes unless you use onstar you will need the LAN system and go to the audio video section under the stickies. You will find your answers. Searching is not that scary!

 

GMOS lan04 will keep the factory chimes and what not. If you are an 07+ balt you will need it to do the install.

 

lan 4 if he HAS PIONEER. lan 3 NO PIONEER. Both retain ONSTAR

 

jsut get a line out adaptor and use your factory headunit works great

 

i ordered the scosche gm13sr and it works perfect. keeps all your sounds just doesnt retain onstar
