question on these motors.

I have a 2007 2.2 and i have been looking around for other 2.2 motors, i came acrossed a smashed 2008-2009 2.2 with a good motor (car was rearended) motor only has 15,000 on it.
now if i was to take that motor and build it for my turbo and put it into my car will it be ok with my 07 computer?
i do not have the SAI in my car either.

Why don't you take the comp from the wrecked car as well and tune the new comp from the wrecked car for the turbo also the newer motors are different cause of the vvt so you would prolly need the new comp reguardless. I'm kinda new to the fuel injected 4 banger sceen so some one correct me if I am wroung. But I am pretty sure you gonna need to take the comp from the wrecked car with you also youll need to tune the comp reguardless if you turbo it just to get it to run right.

i cant say for sure...but with every other motor swap in a cobalt (be it pre-'07, 07-08, LAP, Le5, LSJ, LNF, etc.) involves not only swapping PCMs but swapping every electronic device on the car, such as ABS sensors, gauges, airbag sensors, etc. Its definitely not worth it. Find a motor of the same year

i highly doubt it. the new 2.2 (LAP) has VVT. plus as stated just about every other electronic device would need to be swapped
