Going through my list of making sure all the routine maintenance was done to my cobalt prior to me buying it. - Were there any recalls issued for the 09 LT? and if so, is there a way I can check and see if they were already done?

 

The only recall i know of is the power steering

 

I did see something about that online, was it all cobalts? how can I check if it was done? Just go to the stealership?

Just take it to the dealership. I'd imagin they could run the VIN and see what's been done

Type Rs have a pump on the engine that pumps engine oil into the intake.....or something like that. How else would you explain all the blue smoke comming out the tail pipe!?

No seriousally they do tho...and all you have to do is call a GM dealer with your VIN and they can check to see if the power steering motor was done.
