should i S/C my 2.2?

I have an 09 Pontiac G5, with a manual trans, and 72,000ish miles on it.
some people are saying I shouldnt do it bc ill blow/break something, but yet most forms say I'll be good up to 250whp? I use this car as my daily driver so what would be my best set up and how much boost I should run.
I'm buying a supercharger swag (parts from a s/c ss) and people are saying its just a bolt on thing like a zzp kit. is that true? and will it really work? keep in mind I'm new to all this type of type of stuff. thanks.

Yes It will bolt up. Go to ZZP's site and check out what you need for the 2.2...And buy my stock LSJ H/E!!

the SS stock M62 will physically bolt right up so that's no big deal, and that 250HP number is a ballpark number where the rods tend to go and that is a crank, not WHP. but look into IonNinja's and 1LowLs's builds and that might help you out

I'm getting the heat exchanger with it. the only thing I should need is maybe a bolt or 2 and new tubing for the heat exchanger. so its fairly simple then? and cheaper then the kit from zzp?
is there anything you guys would recommend me also doing to my car? I know I'll need a clutch and headers, down pipe, and exhuast eventually. but would I need injectors?
and what power gains would I get from all this? at the crank/ground?

it all depends what you're goals are, with just the M62 and minimal other mods you'll probably be around 200whp. add 42 or 60 injectors and a harness, some cooling mods, an intake, and downpipe and you could be around 220/230WHP. exhaust isn't extremely necessary as the stock DP is the most restrictive part of the exhaust. there's many different things you could add

and remember if you go this route you need a new computer tune as well, and your options are Trifecta or HPTuners

I just want to make her quicker, I got used to driving a 13second car to a stock 2.2 so my speed addiction needs to be fed. lol. but my goals at to run 14s at the track and just work my way from there. I'm getting the down pipe from the as too. how well will that bolt on?
and I'll be getting an intake almost right away.
and I know I'll need a tune.
so down pipe, intake, and injectors would be a good route to go to get some power? and it'll all be good under the hood to be driven daily?
sorry if it seems like I'm just rambling, I'm close to ending my 12hr shift at work. I'm a bit tired.

Its definitely fun!

I have full bolt ons on a 2.8 pulley with ported blower.

Being a manual you have more room up front to work for install (im an auto and it was tight)

I ran a 13.88 at 100 mph with my set up.

so id run like a 14.2-14.4 since I need time to shift.
what do mean by full bolt ons and how much boost you running?

Manuals are faster because of gearing.

I have header, downpipe, catback, 3" intake. I get around 14 lbs in the cold weather.

Supercharging is easy.

Step 1: sell your 2.2

Step 2: buy an LSJ

back on topic.

there's a reason why I bought the 2.2, insurance. it'd double if I got the S/C.

Trade it in on an SS. Not worth boosting a 2.2 unless you build the motor.

Exactly transmission not engine.

F23 with a good clutch will hold up good.
