2.4 Dyno Run

Well today was the NJ dyno meet at crazy horse racing...super nice people and ran the my Cobalt. Mods are AEM CAI and GMPP touring exhaust. Five speed BTW.

Best max power came on my third run: 167.5 HP and 166.2 ft-lbs.

All runs were in fourth and I am quite surprised by a few things actually:

1. Turning off the traction control on the Solstice GXP netted about 20 HP to the wheels.
2. 2006 Eclipse GT has more whp than a Stock stage two
3. There was a bone stock 2.4 there and he got like mid to high 140s?

As you can see we plateau quite nicely with a bit of over rev room which is nice...I bet a nice cam that would be ground to build power from 5500 on would be pretty sweet.

Indeed it was, cams, you have them...where do they 'add' power per se?

Because I would love something that would build a lil more power up top there...of course with a little over rev...

tri-flows kick in around 2700rpm and carry through out the powerband.,don't have the car anymore.

I put down 153hp stock. I think. It's in my sig. I have since added the supercharger and intake...but I dyno'ed with an OEM 2.0 intake. I wish I could re-dyno and see what I got now.

I guess there is some proof that an cai and exhaust will give you a nice amount of added power
