2.4 engine mods

So im thinking id like to upgrade the internals of my 2.4 so at some point in the future I could put a turbo on. I heard the rods and pistons are kinda weak is that true? Any thoughts on to do cams rockers valves etc

Depends on your year and your definition of weak...

06s are good to 400wheel stock as long as you have a tuner worth a ****

No afromarket cams, no need for afromarket lifters or followers(rockers)

MrB sleeves, have Trevor do the ****, and you will have solid engine

I was looking through zzp site said something bout " The 2.4 is a little stronger but also makes more power at the same boost level and should not be run over 6psi if the engine is stock." So thats why I thought about doing rods and pistons. I probably wont do anything tp head but clean it.

boost does not equal hp. keep torque under 375~400 and your bone stock motor will be fine.

There are aftermarket cams. Zzp has them. They aren't listed on the site. You have to email them.

Why does the LE5 need sleeves if it's a gen II block good for 700hp?

Only thing that makes me nervous about my le5 is cracking the sleeve
from my knowledge, the rods, pistons, sleeves can all about let go around the 400wheel range

Well it would be a few years for the build. I dont have a house and there's no way i can tear it apart without a garage. Thats what ive heard also. So by the time I would be able to do a build I may as well do internals to.
