2.4 engine platform

someone told me the 2.4 in ours is the same as the 2.4 for the scion tc, which we have different cr's but is the layout the same? he said the SC kit from a tc would fit our cars?

No, just buy a kit from one of the vendors, or build your own. Beck has done some extensive write-ups about his build

1. Scion 2.4L engine has 160hp and it's from the Camry.

2. The SC for the Scion Tc is a centrifugal type from TRD that costs about 3 grand and gives it around 200hp and about 175 lb/ft torque. The SS/SC has 5 more horses and more torque from a 2.0L engine with a positive displacement SC. You're better off getting a pos displacement SC or turbo for your 2.4 as you will see much higher gains.

the ss/sc has about 25 more hp the tc gains 30 BHP so it's really only about 180 to the wheels ... a fully bolted 2.4 could take a s/ced tc long as it's got no other mods

well according to hahn our internals are good till alot.. but thats on a turbo... honestly i'd say go turbo from hahn it's 240whp at 8-9 psi and they've proven this a few times

the sc setup is awesome and granted with used parts it's about half the price but i personally don't trust the heaton
