does the 2.4 ss have a front sway bar and if so would you get much more performance out of switching to an aftermarket one?

how about the rear? is there already one there?

 

none on the rear, i know the ss/sc has a front one.

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say every car made since I can remember has a front sway bar. (If anyone knows differently please correct me) But all the cars I've ever seen have them in the front at least. Yes the 2.4 SS has one in the front. No it does not have one in the rear. If your gonna swap the front out you need to drop the frame out of the car to get to it. If your not experenced in this I wouldn't recomend it, its deff at least a 9 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the hardest.

 

it does have a rear one---although its not quite the same as a traditonal sway bar.

And yes almost every car made in the last 40 years has a front sway bar.

 

more performance is debatable... i switched out my fe2 front sway for an fe3 front sway and i get boat loads of understeer (not a good thing).

rear sway as stated previously, is integrated into the torsionbeam suspension system, so you can only add the progress rear sway bar. it balances out the fe2 with stock springs really well on my ion.
