2.4 Intake Feedback

Heres the scoop!

I live in the desert, hardly any rain, right? So I'm thinking CAI (since I had one on my foucs RIP)
Lets see There is

My question is, Which would be best for the Desert/dry air very little rain?

I think it doesn't matter too much which one you get. We get plenty of rain in the Northeast but I haven't had a problem. However, if you go with the AEM dryflow, you won't have to worry about getting oil on your MAF.

Im in vegas. And Ive been told to stay away from the dryflow filter in arid conditions. I plan on getting the fujita when I get some cash.

So the oil on the other filters protects the filter media?

Ya. I hang out with mostly the subie crowd and for them at least the dryflow filters just dont perform as well as the oiled filters. Plus I had a K&N filter on my xtreme and worked great. Im just going to stick with what works. Maybe some of the guys in AZ have one on a 2.4. Theyll probably see and chime in.

I just got the Injen and can't complain. But again i live in the Sacramento area, it's hot and dry here, but it's nowhere near a desert.

    Yes, but...

The Mass AirFlow Sensor (MAF) on the Cobalt is sensitive to being polluted by microscopic amounts of oil from an oiled filter. GM, I believe, has a bulletin about this, and the K&N has been known to cause problems based on reports on this board.
