this is my daily driver and i have not had any real downtime on it. only takes me five hours to drop the motor and remove the tranny and get it all put back together. supercharger install took me a weekend, and tuning about a day. And i by all means did not have the right tools haha. the only thing i had was a 85 piece craftsman toolset, some jackstands and a jack haha. Its amazing what you can do with a little bit of determination.

yeah i just bought another tranny cuz i found one for 400 locally. if i end up needed to replace this one i'll just rebuild the other one that's off the car and then swap em.
How was the tranny swap? Ton's of fun I bet

I have heard that if driven right, the 2.2/2.4 manual will hold up well to more power. However, i dont know how much they can hold and i really dont want to be the one to figure it out. I have a 2.2 LT and will be boosting it, but when i do, ill def be double clutchin that mother so i dont mess up the syncros

i picked up the clutch from turbo tech racing. cant remember where i got the flywheel. But so far both seem to be holding up great. stage 3+ from spec and the fidanza flywheel.

actually, when you stand around and watch its not that hard. had to unbolt subframe, drop suspension, unbolt axle's, disconnect all electrical connections, disconnect all vacuum lines, unbolt tranny from motor, drop out tranny and reverse the procedure. and THEN bled the damn master cylinder. granted i didnt do "alot" of the work (thanx to paul), it was still a b*tch.

If you don't get an aftermarket lightweight flywheel you're going to have to resurface your stock flywheel. I went with the spec stage 3+ clutch because this is also my daily driver the '+' clutches supposidly have better drivability, im assuming because they are sprung (not sure if the regular clutches are) stage 3+ should be able to handle over 300tq if you can break that barrier (which is what i'm aiming for here)

spec was really the only company i could find that had the stage clutch that could handle a decent amount of power without spending obsurd amounts of money.
