2.4 Turbo exaust question

I'm putting the hahn kit on my 2.4 in like 2 weeks here. Now I'm goign to have to run my stock exaust (DP to before muffler) for about another 2 weeks til I can get a 3'' dp and have a shop fit me a 3'' pipe back to my muffler. How restrictive is my stock exaust going to be? will it damage the turbo if I'm not careful? keep the boost down......etc....tips?

No, it should be fine. Remember the SS/SC and the SS/TC (I think, save the turbo manifold) have the same stock exhaust setup we have. Aside from that, your wastegate is designed to do exactly what you are asking.

An idea though, you may want to just wait and do it all at the same time, though.. considering your car isn't going to have an ECM for a few days, I'm sure you could around to doing the exhaust work.

By the way - you say a 3" pipe to your muffler, and then of course a 3" DP.. are you not going to change your cat? May want to look at some of the hi-flo options. I would strongly discourage you from running catless, sounds horrid.
