my question is, why just the resonator? Did it actually make a difference when you step on the gas? Haven't noticed these questions answered yet. The resonator is located underneath the right front fender corrrect? I'm just curious because I took out my entire intake except the tube in the fender, and created my own short ram.

it does make a difference in being less restrictive. joe's sister's ass dyno isnt exactly scientic.

you're only looking a very small hp difference, but think of it like this... its a completely pointless restriction.

it really doesn't make much of, if any, difference. it's just louder.

it's minimail, maybe 1 or 2 hp because it's slightly less restrictive... add a K&N air filter, get another 1 or 2 hp... it's basically for peopel that don't want to spend over 200 dollars for an intake to get 4 hp...

I have a 2.4SS Auto....I went with the Injen intake as doesn't have as many people throwing codes and it has the option to either go CAI or SRI...I went the SRI route as I don't want to have to worry about driving through large puddles/lakes....lol

you can pick one up at turbotechracing.com They are great guys to deal with

Also.....GM now makes a SRI for our cars but they are a bit on the pricey side

the injen seems nice, and the GMPP may, very well, be the hottest looking intake on the market. personally, they both seem like a lot of money for a little bit of scream at WOT, but i'd vote for the GMPP if you're purchasing one.

I bought the GMPP. Click on the two links in my sig below to see the "how to" on the install, and on making the GMPP a functional Cold Air Intake.

The video is really funny. I liked your style of taping alot. Plus, the way that you shrugged was funny. lol.

BTW, how do you take the resonator out? I tried to do it when I first got it (last october) and couldn't get ot it or something. I was probably just doing something wrong. I'd still like to do this "mod".
