We all know turbos are coming out for the 2.2L, and SC for 2.4L. I guess no one knows which engine would benefit more from the turbo...BESIDES just #s...I mean response to the turbo. Take the mazda 3 2.0L and 2.3L...the 2.0L is better with turbo, 2.3L isnt, but still have much more HP n TQ gain.

I hate asking...cuz of other posts...but nothing new... any dates on when 2.4L turbos coming out? Just please say less than a few months...No results from the makers...Hahn(besides 500hp with a 2.2L auto) and Garrett...and whomever else is.
I wish they send some #s soon!!!

2.2L turbo vs 2.4L turbo hrmmmmm, save 2k on 2.2L stock...hehe.

 

well the 2.4 will have a stronger engine off the line and its already oil cooled as well, all you need to do is tune the vvt and lower compression to turbo it good

 

both engine will be able to run about 10 psi intercooled. assuming your turbo both, the 2.4 will spin up the turbo faster and and with the vvt will be much better trq curve. so i feel the 2.4 will own the 2.2 and in time the 2.0.

 

i agree but i still think the 2.2 is a great platform as well

 

all these threads of turbo and s/c are making me glad i got a 2.4
