well that set up is the optional "drag injection" as i am calling it, they have a normal fuel rail that is standard. But ITB are able to be used on the street. you just need the right tune, and yet you do make more of your power higher in the RPM range, but that doesn't mean you can't DD you car either.

Cool thanks for the confermation. Just curious how would you tune a ITB setup like that to not run like crap on the road? Where would you get the air cleaner(s)? Not that im thinking of getting one im just curious.

You need to fabricate an airbox or switch to speed density.

Not saying you are right, OR wrong..but I am curious on one aspect...what leads you to believe that a short runner/common plenum manifold is only 'boost-specific'?

"boost specific" or not i know its going to flow better then stock, but it will be to much work to change everything to the other side of the engine bay. if you want it to sell then make it in the stock config.

A pushrod 7.0L engine revving to 7k?!?!?!

Oh yeah it makes 505hp.

its on the back burner they said, since everyone pretty much wanted the stock intake layout so we don't have to redo the whole engine layout.

i want to do an N/A build and yes having a better stock mounted manifold would be ideal if there are strong gains for the other design and possibly updated intake tubing for it with proper maf sensor location i would still buy it. now i would prefer if it were in the $300 - $500 range rather then the higher priced ones but i guess for now i will just have to look for alternate solutions

I hate to be correct on this, but I said they wanted to to do just another version of the intake they already have.

That sucks, I would love to have a better than stock flowing intake that was still NA friendly

Yes, we've simply arrived at the conclusion that a design suiting the stock TB location is not a good business model, especially at the proposed pricing range...the tooling costs aren't borne out by the sales volume potential. It's a much more complex proposition. Still may happen, but the short-term is a no-go.

Were we to offer a 2.2- and 2.4-specific version of our existing model, the scales of economy were much more suitable...at the end of the day, we still have to make a living, and there's no shortage of projects clamoring for development funds. Nonetheless, we have enterprising customers who've decided to use our existing design anyway on 2.2 and 2.4.

Perhaps in the future, conditions regarding this will change and a stock location unit will emerge. For now, the people spoke, and BOY...are we glad we asked
