2.4L Intercooler?
Ok sorry if this confuses anyone but I was wondering and thinking about cooling the engine down and making some hp.. Now what about an intercooler either for the oil or the engine coolent?? Can it be done and is there maybe something available??
And don't flame my ass for asking this question please.. I'm a driver not a mechanic

Your radiator cools your coolant. Turbo and supercharged applications run an intercooler to cool the compressed air they push into the engine, superchargers especally the Eaton style that SS/SC run produce alot of heat as the blower spins faster, heating the air going into the engine. The intercooler cools that air which makes the air more dense and makes more power. You can buy oil coolers and /or transcoolers which are in a sense a mini raditor for those fluids. In a naturally aspirated engine a intercooler would serve no purpose.
You can add water wetter to your coolant which may help keep the coolant a few degrees cooler, or just switch to a 50/50 combo of coolant and water in your radiator to help keep your engine temp cooler on those hot summer days

yea id say hes about right^^....although the intercooler might only net you about 1 or 2 hp......you would definately see some cooler temperatures....
***by the way i made a thread on this a while back so search for it***

Well the only problem with trying an oil cooler is our stupid ass filter location! Most cars have spin on filters and ading an oil cooler is easy. On our car it requirs drilling and taping and machine work, basicly just say no.
Quicksilver is right about the radator bit and the water wetter.
You COULD do a duel fan set up that would work.

You COULD do a dual fan set up that would work.

Your coolant system is fine. You actually don't want it to run any cooler. It is set at an ideal temperature.
You could do the oil cooler modifications done on the LSJ, but as described above, it requires some machining. The LSJ also uses a larger oil pan for more windage cooling. But for what your L61 engine is doing, you simply don't need it.
There really is nothing to gain on this engine through additional cooling.
