2.4l No-start!?!?!?!

So for the first time since I purchased the vehicle my car stuttered when i tried to start it. I turned the key, the starter ran the engine did not start then, I tried again but pumped the gas pedal a bit and vowala it started.... but i cant figure out why it did that, Iam constantly mainting my vehicle i change oil every 2,000 miles and use fully synthetic everything for everything.... at first i was thinking it might be cause its cold but it was 78 degrees out when this happend + i live in vegas and its hotter then a bitch here all the time, any ideas or is this just normal wear and tear ****

by the way i have 10,300 miles on the car as of right now so its fairly new

interesting. my 2.4 fluttered 2 times alittle while ago but i also have 2.0 injectors and its running a bit rich. so it just takes 3 secs for it to catch its breathe i just rev it and it burns off. but hmm doesnt sound like a good car if you have to keep fixing it take it back and get a new one. lol

ryan.

Same thing happened to me twice.

The reason was I was low on gas and I was parked on a hill/incline.

Were you on a hill or low on gas?

I actually had to coast in neutral backwards down the hill and then start it...lol.
