Did You Get A Cel. When I Installed Mine It Did I Guess Your Suppose To Disconnect The Negative Terminal. Wait Till You Drive If For Another Week You Will Feel Some Huge Gains. So Far My Best Mod Yet
I've had mine on for a couple of months now. Believe me... the ECU takes a little time to get used to the increased air flow, but now if I sit and listen when the car is idling... I can actually hear the intake sucking.
As far as loud goes... when you open the throttle up she really screams.
I don't know what kind of HP numbers these things are generating... but I'm figuring it's more than what is quoted for the 2.2L b/c our VVT allows the engine to take better advantage of the increased airflow.
Enjoy that intake, I know I have!

Having all of this said... Is it worth it to opt for the CAI, or will just the short ram suffice? I just had a short ram on my Accord and it seemed fine. But I'm not doing many mods to the Cobalt (lease) so I want the ones that I do to be quality... Any my Accord ECU got used to it right away. That AEM one was NICE! I loved the hisssssss at idle.
I don't think anyone has gotten a dyno with the intake yet.
As far as the CAI switchover goes... you'll gain 1-2HP off of it... but you'll lose some performance right off the line as the air takes longer to get moving... and if you drive in an area that sees a lot of rain or floods often be careful as you could submerge the filter... suck up water... and hydrolock the engine...
I'm pondering switching to CAI after summer comes... but we get a lot of standing water in charlotte so I dunno.

The Injen intakes are 2 piece so you can switch back and forth.

Black and polished are still in stock on the 2.2/2.4L systems
Yes it is a 2 piece design, it can be a CAI or a short ram style.

Looks great!
