from what ive been hearin and readin, garret and alpine are the only two with turbo setups for the 2.4L. alpine should be set and good to go due to some flash thing they do, but garret needs tuning.

i really don't pay that close attention because i am not at that stage yet

Haven't been around in forever.. Doing some work, and doing some real work at my job has kept me busy.

But I'm researching - what are we thinking gains difference is between t/c'ing and s/c'ing the 2.4l? Would an Eaton m45 or m62 (or one of their new models..) be easier to tune than a tc application?

I'm not gonna look everywhere - but I will post this in the General section.. anyone else heard something like this?

2008: Supercharged SS dropped from the model lineup, while the SS Coupe and SS Sedan were renamed to "Sport Coupe" and "Sport Sedan" respectively. XM Radio, side-impact air bags for improved safety, and MP3 player are now standard instead of options. StabiliTrak stability control system introduced. Other changes include the adding and removing of several colors and interior colors.

I wonder what that may mean for a dealer installed/GMPP factory option forced induction for the 2.4.. Also - what are these Solstice GXP's and Skye Redlines running? They're turbo, on a 2.4 vvt?

No, 2.0 VVT. It's an LNF engine.

I don't think the 2.4l is slow, I just think it's slow until DOHC kicks in. After 3500ish RPM I think it's pretty damned quick actually.

I'd just like something to help it get from 0-3500 faster, which is why I think SC may be the way to go..

Turbochargers themselves aren't engine specific but flange specific. Do you mean kit?

Yeah its not the DOHC that kicks in rather the vvt changing the cam phasing.

Hey I got signature blocked, awesome .

Sorry - it's just bad habit from my old car, which had a mechanical relay that would open the cams.
