Wow all of you useing my name in vain like this is shocking! To clear up a possible mis-conception or two allow me a moment.

First, King SS, mine is an automatic sedan, yours is a manual coupe. Your car weighs almost 500 pounds less then mine does so yes mod for mod you should be a tad faster. My tune however does make the trans shift faster then yours. But due to the weight differnce you should win.

Secondly, I have said my car SHOULD run a low 15 with the tune, however I had problems with that tune and had it removed. Saddly I am back to stock cause I didn't feel like stairing at that God damned CEL anymore!

Now once Performance Specialists gets the bugs worked out I'll be happy to run anyone.
If I lose, I lose, no biggie.

Now the fastest cars in a 1/4 mile ARE automatic transmissioned cars. Check out the Outlaw series of street cars, damn near all autos. Please noone say go look at pro stock cause a cars with lightening rods isn't a true manual transmission. With an auto you can't miss a shift.

with built, stalled, racing auto tranny's...a stock cobalt tranny = TOTALLY different. Even a tuned auto shouldn't outrun a manual with the same mods. You can't launch as well, you don't put as much power to the ground, and you are heavier. It will be more consistant yes, but you realize the difference in shift time is going to be waaay less than a tenth of a second for each shift, probably a tenth total MAYBE. With the extra weight, less power, etc. slightly quicker shifts will not make up for it. If you put enough work in, an auto can be faster, but you need more than just a tune.

yea i went to saturn today to pick up my 2.4 emblem for my cobalt and they said it was 91+ but in the info pamplet it said 87 oct. . . so wierd will have pics of emblem tomorow.

funny thing, we took off my wifes CAI today and modified the stock air box on her cobalt with a k & n drop in and it made no difference in power. i was tired of staring at the CEL also.

My saturn Ion Sport 2.4L Model 3 does 0-60 in like 6.0 - 7.0 seconds. Depends what gas, temperature and what not. Oh and its probably getting to 60 quicker because saturns are tupaware
