*THE TITLE IS A JOKE

Overall I give this mod a 9.5 for engine sound improvement. Should be a good precursor to my K&N drop in.

*DISCLAMER: THE TITLE IS A JOKE... thanks to those who got it!

yeah, it makes the car sound better, prolly doesnt make any performance diff, but it deff helps.

if you have a 2.4, i can't endorse the K&N 2.4 intake kit enough.

I have a friend that did some dyno runs with intake/stock airbox/ drop in filter. He said an intake only puts down maybe +1 whp over a plain k&n drop in (with resonator removed). For the money, I think I'll stick to the drop in.

granted. the site has a dyno sheet that shows a rather decent gain with the intake, however.

personally, i think it's worth it for the sound it makes alone.

I think some of the how-tos can get confusing. It's really not hard except for 1 bolt.

That one bolt is a bitch. I helped my friend with a 2.2 get it off. It's all easy except that last bolt which is frustrating.

The K&N Typhoon SRI installs without requiring the removal of the "BONG" and that one nasty nut.

Though that intake may not require to remove the "bong" I would still do so. It sounds amazing just without it. Now combine the intake and the removal of the silencer? You got a good combo there.
