OP, you can get a 2.4 all motor into the 14s. Can be done with an automatic. Full bolt ons, tune, weight reduction, good drag suspension setup and a great launch and it's no problem. Do it already. My fully bolted 2.2 with weight reduction could do mid 15's.

Keep practicing and adding to the car.
Obviously you missed the sarcasm.

My all-motor 2.4 runs 13.3....

..but like I said...WTF do I know?!?

And no one said you didn't know anything. Stop being cocky. We are just saying he doesn't have to swap to get a 14.9

Intake/exhaust, cams and a ported head.

Not that much.

I've seen bolt-on/tuned full LE5's that only dyno'd a few HP off my motor. That VVT **** is awesome like that.

I'm saying, for the price of all these bolt-on's he could manual swap it and run 14.9's.

And he would be much better off in the long run.

It doesn't cost 3 grand to swap, it doesn't even cost a grand.

Shop around for deals and its a few hundred bucks and you end up with a car thats faster, better on gas, and way more fun to drive.

Just cause something hasn't been done, doesn't mean it can't be done

If everyone had that attitude nothing would ever progress.

Well duh lol. Of course it can be done but if it was as simple as you are making it sound like, a lot more people would be doing it. But at the end of the day he's going to do what he wants no matter what we say.

OP does not need a manual swap for 14.99 at all.

Bring the 60' time down and you are fine. If we are just talking price then sticky tires might be the cheapest.

OP, sorry i forgot to read everything. Did you do suspension mods. I.E. tire pressure, footballs and weight reduction?

The only reason he will need tires is if he spins. And I doubt he spins that much because I barely do

No, my Tire pressure was at 32, and the only suspension mod I have is lowering springs

UGGGGHHHHH you guys are ******* silly.

Newt knows what he is talking about. yes his car is NOT a delta. its a sunfire with the same drivetrain. the only advantage he has is weight, otherwise we are running similar parts. i dont see why you guys think he is sooo far off. Nevermind the fact most of you have MAYBE been to the track for a street night.

BTW i bought an 06 LS 5 speed in March with a blown motor for $500. all the parts are there to do the swap all you would have to do is swap everything, and you would still have 2 running cars. an 06 LS Auto and an 06 SS/NA 5 speed.

Then slicks or drag radials won't really help much

I'll probably gather the money needed first, then make some calls haha. I'd love to help actually work on it, and not just pay someone to do it.
