Damn bro.. That sucks..

But that's why accidents are called accidents..

If she wasn't drunk or anything why be so harsh? Haha.. It was obviously her fault and it will all get taken care of...

Sorry about what happened and good luck!

Because a lot of people are idiots !!! Some of the **** I see people doing as they drive by my house is crazy.

Cell phones - 90%
Sun visor down ( while looking in it )- 20%
Picking their nose - 30%
Beating there kids - 2%

Those are just a few, and no those aren't real %'s but you get the idea of it. Actually watched a guy using an electric shaver yesterday while driving and looking in his sun visor mirror.

** also forgot to mention , sorry about the accident. Hope for you it's wrote off and you can get a new one ! lol

let me guess the situation: you're waiting to make a left hand turn, light turns yellow...she should have stopped but didn't and you made your turn.

hate to say it, but it's your fault. had the same thing happen to me: I was in a delivery truck and the stupid woman hit my rear bumper.... she should have been coming to a stop but wasn't paying attention obviously.

as the cop explained it to me, even if the light turned red and she ran it, the traffic getting the green would have to wait for me to clear the intersection, so I failed to yield.... total BS, but that's what I was told.

^^^^This.

Unless you had a green arrow, you're at fault even if her going through the light was questionable, because if you were still in the intersection when she went through it means you ran the light as well.

I had the green arrow it just turned green

and the DMV thing when the lights change and what the lights were at the certain times do hold up in court

The government can't do anything right, I highly doubt there are any records of the traffic lights. That's why the police record eyewitness testimony because it is all the information have. Anyway the Onstar time stamp would be different and not match up with any DMV records, especially not to the degree of accuracy (seconds) you are hoping for. I bet the Onstar time would not even match the clock in your car.

...Drive on more popular roads...when its just you and the car you hit..its he said she said...

When you get a unpartial third party...you will win. Even if its a car full of police officers that hit you and claim you did it.

A Unpartial third party always decides who's at fault

Unfortunately your best hope in this case would be 50/50 fault. A green arrow does not give you right of way, it tells you to go if all is clear. ALWAYS make sure oncoming traffic is stopped before turning. Because you didn't, you will have some liability according to law. At least it appears you're not hurt too bad, which is really the most important thing.

fight it in court, they dont usually listen to family members as witnesses because they are biased to them obviously. I deffinately wouldnt take a ticket for something that wasnt my fault.
