Lightbulb Air box mod?

Hi guys this is ownedbyagirl?'s boyfriend.

I have a question.... In the 2.4L Cobalt the intake is on the front. I was thinking get a 3 inch tube, Bent it and connect it to the stock air box. As she just bought a K&N replacement filter.

She knows that she won't see a huge increase in HP or Economy unless she goes with the Cold Air Intake.

That a side I was thinking would this clean up some restriction?

I was thinking it would be temporarily fix. Since the MAF is connected to the Box part.

Please let me know your Input on this small MODIFICATION.

Again ,

Throttle body with Bent 3 inch tube to Air box with K&N Replacement filter.

Could this be less restrictive?

I asked if it was less restrictive. Also Did you notice any difference in throttle response?

Also It would be a cheap fix untill we / she gets the money for a true CAI.

Just pull the resonator off. Quick and simple. Makes it sound a bit better.

You're better off using that as-is.

You won't have any problem with water unless you try to cross a river.

FOOT RESPONSE IS BETTER BY 10 - 15%
Pick up and go way better!
