Ive seen alot of guys run 91-93 because thats what it calls for. So between there!

I believe the owners manual recommends 91-93 octane. I personally use 93 octane.

i run 91. my bro runs 87 in his. i used to run 87 and then switched to 91 and their is a difference in how the car acts.

i run 89 octane plus insted of the reg 87

would i see much diff with 91 or 94

and would runing 89 damage my motor at all or just loss in performance

It'll run better but your not going to be running no 12sec 1/4 lol but itll be a smoother idle and ride most likely!

agreed. the reason they don't recommend 87 is due to the knock that the engine gets from pre-ignition.

It's never good to have constant spark knock.

It talks about this in the user manual I think

why do you think OEM doesnt recommend it? pre-ignition over time will harm your motor. along with decreased mileage and decreased engine performance. is it really worth saving 2 or 3 dollars when you fill up?

your LS should take 87, you could use 89. using 91 in your LS would be a waste. and ya i've done my share of research on this matter. and yes it says this all in the owners manual.

you can run both, it was shown that the ECM has 2 tunes, one for 87 and one for 91 or higher

i run 91 for gas mileage and performance, and your valves stay cleaner that way
