there ya go.....
but yeah it was brand new and only on the car for a few days...
Did you break it in properly? needs like up to 500 miles of easy driving to do so...
if not like what happened to darksuns first one... clog city.
and for those that are getting scared (which is common in this place)
they are fine if broken in properly.. mine has been on my car for almost a year now and 15000 miles and it's still good as new.

On the CEL - you can buy MIL elimintors online or read up and make your own. Disabling the CEL in general might be a bad idea in case you have another problem.
Also, I'd look at a test pipe instead of gutting the cat. When you gut the cat you won't have free flow as your exhaust will be swirling around in all that open area. A lot of test pipes are also built to resonate, I had a magnaflo testpipe on my old Cougar and it sounded purty good..
You may also want to try to figure out why your cat is clogging before doing anything. They sholdn't clog for nothing, may be letting oil through or your mix could be rich.

That sucks Mike. I hope everything works out. The DPs are cheap. Maybe just buy a catless DP from CA.

I was gonna post up here since i sold you the cat But i sent you a PM instead. Also about that gutting the cat issue if you saw the size of the highflow cat gutting it wouldn't mess up the air flow that bad. whats worse ceramic honeycombs in the way of the exhaust flow or a slightly open space flowed back into an exit. Now if it was the stock cat maybe i would say yes cause the inside diameter on the stock cat is huge. **** like this happen in the quest for power with a cobalt. I of all people know this more than most. Sorry about the clogged cat mike.
I think what did him in is that i gave him the cat too new. I didn't have a chance to break it in my self before i took it off and it sat around for months. i should have told him to break it in

If you're running that rich, I'd jus put a test pipe on, I think you'll prefer that over gutting. Gut it first and see what you think.
Do you not have to e-test?
