CA V1 Header Questions.

I have just installed my new CA v1 header, and I Noticed that my car has gotten a bit sluggish after the install. I'm wondering if a tune will definitely help or if it is something else. I checked for leaks after the install but could not find any, it did seem that this header gets much hotter than the stock one though so I'm wondering if that could also be the issue I have the 2.4l LE5 with K&N SRI and Corsa Touring Exhaust, and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That's odd that your car feels sluggish. And with no exhaust leaks. I have the same header and mine doesn't feel that way at all. What size piping is the exhaust? The only thing i can think of is a loss of too much back pressure resulting in loss of low end torque and power. I could be wrong, it may be something else. Any CEL code after the install of the header? Maybe check the o2 sensor to see if it's all connected ok? ANyone else have any ideas?

sometimes shorty headers cause loss in low end power, but u should be good. we have the exact same mods minus exhaust. i havent installed my dp or mounts either and i havent really noticed any low end loss. it does have a bit more pick up in the top end and the growl from header+ typhoon= golden

the CA header isn't coated, so it's possible that it could get a little hotter faster than the cast OEM part.

first thing i would do is disconnect the battery for an hour or so to make sure the ECM is zeroed out, then i would start it and let it idle until it's warmed up all the way, then take it for a ride. don't beat on it, but try to use the entire RPM range at a wide range of speeds and loads.

perhaps while it's got the battery undone, you could change the fuel filter and change the oil and air filter. just PMs to make sure the car is running well.

Alright Well I'll go ahead and try resetting the ECM and see what happens. Thanks for the feedback all.
