camshaft problem

ok so my check engine light came on says camshaft a sensor 1 anyone have this problem? should i just replace the sensor?

If you still have a warranty I'd take it to the dealer to have it fixed. I didn't know the camshaft had sensors.

camshaft position sensor they are like 40 bucks and no i dont have a warranty

is it a plug and play type thing? like a maf sensor? thats what i thought but someone said it was a lot more than just taking it out and putting a new one in

I had the problem too, it made my traction control light kick on all the time and my car would start shifting really hard. I had to replace the sensor and a solenoid.

the car really isnt acting any different it drives about the same i feel like the idle is a bit rougher but only sometimes and the light goes on and off like one day it will be on and two days later it wont be any ideas?

im getting mine fixed on friday...question i put halos in my car would they say anything about due to the warranty?

how long should it take to fix the sensor?

Cam position sensors are located on top of the valve cover right next to the spark plug coils. You can see them in this pic: to the left of the spark plugs.

bro cashaft sensors are located on the right side of the engine a little below the your oil cap.

so they are cam sensors, just not THE cam sensors.

omfg for real? so if it says sensor A bank 1 you and it says ckt performance range on my check engine light. You think its one of the vvt sensors?

I have the same issue and my check engine light comes and goes. The guy at auto zone said it was no big deal, but earlier my car wouldn't start. Is that related to the camshaft sensor? Also, someone mentioned having to get a solenoid replaced, any idea of the cost if that's the problem?

My car is doing the same thing! Check engine lite is on and TC light is on. Took it to autozone and they said it was the crank sensor. Changed that and it is still jumping and the lights are still on. What do I do now?
