got a 06 cobalt 2.4 ss and have an exhaust leak up by the collector. really damn annoying!lol i was thinking of going catless downpipe but don't want to throw any codes or anything. what can i do to prevent that? thanks for your help.

 

ark and weapon-r sell cel eliminators. all it does is pull the rear o2 sensor out of the downpipe and fools it into thinking the air is going through a cat.

The Weapon-R wont work........its shaped like a giant L and and will hit your exhaust heatshield even if you try cutting it up some. I know b/c I had one on my SS for a while, and it eventually came loose and took my whole O2 sensor with it. Luckily I re-traced my footsteps and found it laying on the side of the road, lol.

I also tried a VoodooBoost.com CEL eliminator.......pretty much the same issue. The Voodoo one is identical to the ARK one. You should be able to get those to fit if you hack up your exhaust heatshield a bit.

As for a cat-less downpipe, I say go for it. I have an XTC 2.5" cat-less and I love it. When paired with my CA header and ARK N2 cat-back, it sounds so sick.
